District Cross Country 2026
Congratulations to the following students who represented our school at the District Cross Country held at Boeing Reserve in Strathmore on 21 May:
Charlie, Alexander, Zoe, Ruby, Isaac, Christian, Verona Valentina, Eddie, Matthias, Noah, Aria and Bella.
Unfortunately, Audrey had also qualified but was unable to attend due to illness.
I am incredibly proud of the endurance, resilience and perseverance shown by all of our students on such a challenging course. They represented our school beautifully and should be very proud of their efforts.
Well done to everyone! Thanks also to all the parents/guardians that came to support on the day!
Here are some photos from the day!
Congratulations to Bella (LA9) for qualifying and participating in the Divisional Cross Country today! A great achievement.
SWIMMING
LA3 were excited to travel by bus to Elite Swimming in Pascoe Vale.
We packed our swimming bags, towels, goggles, swimming caps and UNDIES!
On the first day the water was warm but then it got cooler…BRRRR!
Torpedo, freestyle, backstroke, blowing bubbles, bulldozer, kicking, floating, diving, floating, somersaults and safe entries. We did it all and have the certificates to prove it.
We can’t wait to do it again next year!

INTERSCHOOL SPORTS
Girls’ Netball Team
We are from the Girls Netball Team and we would like to share some information about the Interschool Netball Competition. For the past 4 weeks we have been opposing different schools and we enjoyed playing netball with them. They were highly talented players and were really sympathetic when we lost. We all showed great sportsmanship, helping each other when needed. Our team performed enthusiastically, showing lots of resilience and persistence. We played against very strong oppositions, (Ilim College, St. Matthew’s, Glenroy Private, St. Thomas More) and even though we lost 3 games, we still had a lot of fun playing against the schools.

Mixed Netball Team
For the past four weeks, St.Marks has been participating in Interschool Sports. The team was a bit untrained, but we got close to the top of the ladder. The netball mixed team has done very well and won 3 out of 4 games. Sadly, we lost one match, but we’re hoping to make it to the semi-finals. However, we have a bye on Friday and cannot play for it is pupil free day. We’re praying that we make it in and win but it’s okay if we don’t. Thank you.

SOCCER
For the past four weeks, we have been playing interschool sports soccer. For our first game we played Ilim College, then we played against St Matthews, Glenroy Private and St Thomas More. Unfortunately, we have not won any games but we had lots of fun and did our best despite coming last on the ladder.
Our best game was against St Matthews because we only lost by one goal and scored a decent amount of goals. In the end the score was 5 to 6.
