School Council Report

October School Council Meeting

The School Council met on 27 October where we heard about the recent finance audit, policy updates and work underway to improve our buildings and grounds. We also discussed end of year celebration plans, including approving the Mango Fundraiser and the End of Year Picnic.

The results of the recent finance audit were discussed, with thanks noted to our Business Manager, Nia, for much hard work!

Policy updates to the following were noted at School Council: Dress Code Policy and Complaints Policy.  

Work continues on planning for an upgrade to the grounds. As part of this, the School Council approved that, while doing this redevelopment, two allergy causing trees would be removed ahead of a native planting.

The End of Year Picnic was also approved to take place on school grounds after discussion of whether to move the location offsite. Keep an eye out for further information to come, as well as a call for parent volunteers to help ensure a smooth event for all!
