Focus on French

Bonjour!

These are term four learning and activities from the French classroom.

Foundation students

Students have revised colours and added four new ones. They revised personal information questions and answers about name and age.

Grade 1 students

Students learned the days of the week in French, and a song accompanying a French school yard game called ‘le Facteur’ (the postman).

Grade 2 students

Students learned a song called ‘les petits poissons’ (little fish). They revised colours and are learning the name of vegetables.

Grade 3 students

Students learned the days of the week, so they could join in a song called 'Lundi' (Monday).

Grade 4 students

Students started learning months of the year in French so they can ask and tell when their birthday is.

Grade 5 students

Students revised stationery items and observed grammatical gender using ‘un’ or ‘une’ (a/an) in front of nouns.

Grade 6 students

Students revised furniture and fixtures from different rooms around the house. They completed a dialogue with their own information, practiced it and presented it!
