Mrs Trish Mitchell

Assistant Principal & Religious Education Coordinator

Lord,

through St Joseph’s example grant every father the grace to love, protect,

and serve with humility. May our teachers, like St Joseph,

guide us with patience and faith.

Amen

Welcome Fr Saji!

A big welcome to our new Parish Priest, Father Saji! We are so excited to him join our school and St Patrick's Church parish family.

Gracious God,

We thank you for the gift of our new priest, Fr Saji

We ask you to bless him as he begins his ministry here with us.

May your Holy Spirit fill his heart with wisdom and strength,

so that he may guide us and care for our community with a shepherd's love.

Help us to be a welcoming and supportive flock, ready to learn from his guidance and grow together in faith.

Amen

Father’s Day – Honouring St Joseph

This Father’s Day we look to St Joseph of Nazareth, the loving husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus, as the perfect example of true fatherhood. The Church has declared him patron of fathers and of the universal Church (Pope Pius IX, Quemadmodum Deus), and Pope John Paul II praised him as “the model of a faithful, humble, and protective father” in his 1981 homily to families. Let us thank our own dads for their care and ask St Joseph to intercede for them, that they may grow in faith, courage, and compassion.

Living Well, Learning Well

We refer to this mantra when communicating with students and staff in our school community from our Living Well, Learning Well Student Framework.

Each one of us has the ability to positively impact those around us, it is at the heart of our school's day to day interactions. Whether it's a student helping a classmate with a tricky maths problem, a teacher offering a word of encouragement, or a parent sharing a smile with a staff member at drop-off, every small action contributes to the warm, supportive atmosphere that makes our St Joey's School so special.

We see this in our students when they show kindness to their friends and respect for their teachers. We see it in our staff who work so hard to create a nurturing learning environment. And we see it in our families, who are an essential part of our school team. Thank you for being a part of the team!

Yours in Faith,

Trish Mitchell
