Travelling Ted Inspires Writing in Kindergarten

Have you heard about Travelling Ted, or seen him on his amazing adventures? 

Travelling Ted is the Kindergarten class teddy bear, and he loves visiting new places and meeting new people! Each Friday afternoon, one student has the special responsibility of taking Ted home for the weekend. This is more than just a fun sleepover; it's an opportunity for our young learners to become authors and illustrators. 

Travelling Ted comes with a special diary and a request for his hosts: to write about his adventures so they can share them with the class the following week. This activity encourages literacy skills and gives the children a meaningful reason to develop writing and storytelling skills. By taking photos, drawing pictures, and writing in the diary, students build confidence and see writing as a fun and exciting task.

Mathematics In Action
