BIOLOGY

YEAR 12
Our Year 12 Biology students were up bright and early, catching a spectacular sunrise before heading to GTAC for an exciting day of hands-on science!
Working alongside real-world laboratory techniques, students investigated how vaccines create immunity by performing an ELISA test to determine tetanus immunity in cattle. They also tackled a simulated mastitis outbreak, identifying the bacteria responsible, analysing antibiotic sensitivity, and using spectrophotometry to determine the most effective treatment.
A fantastic opportunity to bring their Unit 4 Biology studies to life while developing valuable practical laboratory skills!
