Reflection

Sunday 2 November, All Souls’ Day

This Sunday we remember those loved family and friends who have died. Many of us will take time this weekend to visit their graves, spend the time in prayer and reflection, and thank God for their time with us. As Catholics, we remember the teachings of Christ.

‘Indeed, I promise you: today you will be with me in Paradise’.

Life everlasting with God, life after death. Celebration of Jesus’ victory over death with Christs resurrection.

We also pray for the dead, pray for the purging of sins from the souls of those who have died, that they may fully participate in the bliss of Heaven.

We are a religion of the Love of Christ, the Joy of Christ, the Peace of Christ, the Mercy of Christ, and the Hope of Christ. Hope in life everlasting with our God.

We pray especially this weekend for those who have died.

Endless light shine on those we love, O Lord.

May their souls and the souls of all those who have died, through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Amen.

Year 12 Farewell Mass – Tuesday 21 October

St Anne’s College bid farewell to our Year 12 students at our Whole School Mass on Tuesday 22 October. Music for the Mass was led by our amazing Primary School Choir and we thank their teachers for the time and effort they gave to train and lead our students. Our Year 12 students were supported by our whole school community and families at this celebration.

Thank you to Fr Ronald for a lovely service and homily.

At the end of the Mass our 2025 Captains gave their final speech and thanked all who had guided them over their 13 years of education. The 2026 College Captains and House Captains were announced, and our 2025 Captains passed the light to the 2026 Captains.

May God bless and protect all our Year 12 students as the go out into the world.

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Voucher Fundraising

This term our fundraising will be directed towards the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. The Shepparton South St Vincent de Paul Conference assists many members of the local community facing challenging times financially. Our local St Vincent de Paul conference is requesting our help as they aid over 450 clients this Christmas.

Each year level and PG is asked to raise funds to purchase vouchers for families and individuals in need this Christmas. You can help by donating cash or vouchers for the provision of food from business like SPC or supermarkets (not cards that can be spent on alcohol). Any cash sent will be used by the school and Shepparton South St Vincent de Paul conference to purchase vouchers.

We are grateful to our St Anne’s College community for your assistance and continued support for our Social Justice initiatives during the past 12 months. Once again, we ask for your generous support. Vouchers will be presented to the Shepparton South St Vincent de Paul conference at our End Of Year Mass. Your generosity, kindness and assistance are greatly appreciated in our fundraising at St Anne’s College.
