Everyone looked absolutely fantastic in their glammed-up outfits making it a night full of style, smiles, and celebration.

Year 9 Forensic Science

Year 9 Science students recently took part in an engaging and hands-on project exploring the fascinating world of Forensic Science. As part of the task, students created their own “mini crime scene in a box”, complete with realistic props and evidence connected to a fictional case.

Using a range of scientific techniques such as fingerprint analysis, DNA profiling, hair and fibre examination, blood typing, blood sample analysis, and impression evidence, students investigated their cases just like real forensic scientists.

Each group presented their project to the class, explaining the evidence and the science behind their conclusions. The presentations were followed by peer and self-reviews, giving students the opportunity to reflect on their learning and celebrate their achievements.

This project was a fun and creative way for students to apply scientific knowledge to a real-world context and their enthusiasm and teamwork were truly impressive!

Year 10 Food Studies - Fake Away

Fakeaway Fun in Food Studies!

Our talented Year 10 students have been getting creative in the kitchen recreating their favourite takeaway dishes with a healthy homemade twist! From crispy “KFC” style chicken to Subway and sushi, they proved that delicious food doesn’t have to come from a box. We’re so proud of their teamwork, creativity, and amazing presentation skills. The dishes looked incredible!

Year 11 - PE

Students get moving at Aquamoves!

As part of their Physical Education program, students recently participated in an RPM session at Aquamoves last week. The class provided a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves in a high-energy indoor cycling workout, building endurance and strength while having fun. The session was a great way to promote fitness and teamwork, and students showed excellent enthusiasm and effort throughout.

This was followed by a HITT session this week.  There were multiple stations, where students had to work for 20 to 30 seconds and then have around 30 seconds rest.

A big thank you to the Aquamoves instructors for leading such an engaging and motivating sessions!

Our College community came together for a beautiful and heartfelt Graduation Mass, celebrating our Year 12 students as they conclude their journey at St Anne’s College.

The ceremony was filled with moments of reflection, pride and hope, from the moving words of our Principal and 2025 School Captains, to the uplifting voices of our school choir. A highlight of the Mass was the symbolic Passing of the Light ceremony, as our 2025 School and House Captains handed over their leadership to the 2026 team, marking the continuation of our College spirit and values.

We thank our graduating class for their leadership, kindness and contribution to our community. You leave behind a legacy of faith, friendship and courage, and a light that will continue to shine brightly in the years to come.

A big thank you to the University of Melbourne's Italian Studies students who visited St Anne's this week to participate in engaging activities with our Italian students. The day started with the activities in Italian such as board games. This was followed by a humorous performance in the Black Box which featured lines in both English and Italian.

Reminder: Leave Pass Protocol

Parents/carers are reminded there is a very important process to follow if your student must leave the college at any time throughout school hours. Please ensure you follow these steps:

Parents/carers MUST provide a note to the front office, at the start of the school day, stating the following:

- Student Name

- Date of leave required

- The time the student must present to reception to take their leave

- If they will return to the college the same day, and if so what time they will return

- The reason for the leave being requested

- The parent/carer’s name and signature

Please note, students will only be permitted to be collected by their parent/carer unexpectedly and without a note if it is an emergency.

Uniform reminder

Students are expected to wear full academic uniform on non-PE days.

This includes a knitted jumper and/or blazer for Year 10-12 students and a softshell jacket or knitted jumper for Year 7-9 students.

Students are not permitted to wear long sleeve tops underneath their academic shirts or PE t-shirts in lieu of wearing a jumper or for PE the rugby top.

For modesty, female students should be in the long winter skirt or pants with the long-sleeve academic shirt (blouse), jumper and/or blazer. Students are not permitted to wear the summer dress with layers underneath.

Please ensure you purchase any required items over the term break.

Any questions or concerns please contact Mez Lia, Rohan Lelliott or Sarah Baglin.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding this.
