Spirit Week
What a week we have had, filled with SMCM Spirit!
Our students have embraced every part of Spirit Week - starting the week mindfully on Monday, bringing Nude Food lunchboxes, cheering on their fellow students as they took on the teachers in volleyball, sharing their unique talents and being respectful and encouraging audience members.
It was wonderful to see so many families join us for last night’s Celebration of Learning. We loved welcoming you into our Learning Spaces and seeing our students proudly share their achievements, growth and progress from Term 3.
Today, the excitement and the SMCM Spirit, went up another level with our Colour Run! A huge thank you to all the volunteers and spectators who joined us and helped make the day such a wonderful community event. Thank you also to our families for your generous donations and fundraising efforts. As a community we have raised just over $30,000! Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue to invest in capital projects that improve our facilities and create even better spaces for our students to learn, play and grow.
Tomorrow, we finish Spirit Week with Sports Colours Day as we celebrate the AFL Finals (Go Lions!) Students are encouraged to wear the colours of their favourite sporting team.
Kaboom Sports will also be joining us for the day, engaging students in fun and challenging physical activities with a focus on having a go, working as a team and, most importantly, having fun!

Term 3 ends tomorrow at 3:25pm
It’s a wonderful time to reflect on the many highlights of learning, growth, and connection that have filled our school community this term. Thank you to our families, for your ongoing support of school events, your active involvement in your child’s learning and wellbeing and your continued communication. Your partnership is invaluable in helping us meet the needs of every student and nurture a thriving, inclusive community.
Together, we celebrate the successes of this term and look forward to the opportunities that await in Term 4. Term 4 dates have been included in this newsletter.
I wish all members of the SMCM community a safe and happy school holiday. Enjoy the Spring weather and break from routine.
