Father’s Day Brunch - A Wonderful Morning of Community
The Parents’ and Friends’ Association (P&F) has been delighted to deliver another wonderful series of events for our school community, bringing together families, friends, staff and supporters while raising funds to benefit our boys. Our Father’s Day Brunch, proudly presented by the Primo Food Truck this year, was a fantastic celebration of the fathers, grandfathers and father figures who play such an important role in the lives of our boys. With more than 800 fathers and grandfathers in attendance, the morning had a wonderful atmosphere, filled with great food, conversation, laughter and connection.
Alongside the Primo Food Truck, our P&F provided a gourmet brunch featuring avocado toast, fresh fruit skewers and delicious scones. It was wonderful to see so many members of our community enjoying the morning together and celebrating the special men and father figures in the lives of our students.
An event of this size simply could not happen without the incredible support of our school community. The P&F would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff who assisted on the day, including our SOL Service runners and Hospitality students. From the Maintenance Team and TASS staff Ms Patterson and Ms Feige, to our Identity Program leaders, who assist with coordinating our SOL Service helpers, every area of the school played an important role. We are extremely grateful for the time, energy and enthusiasm that everyone contributed. Your support is what makes these community events possible.
A special thank you also goes to our Social Coordinators, Lina Bartollia, Lynette Trainor and Elena Ierado, for their tremendous behind-the-scenes work, organisation and commitment in bringing these events together. We would also like to acknowledge the Trainor children, Hugh, Declan and Neve, and our passionate committee and community members Claire, Haezy, Belinda, Maria Savoca, Margaret McDonald, Jenny Germanos and Yolla Bressa. Your ongoing commitment and willingness to lend a hand are greatly appreciated.
The success of our events is a wonderful reflection of what can be achieved when our school community comes together.
Trivia Night - Friday 23 October
The fun continues with our P&F Trivia Night on Friday, 23 October, and tickets are still available!
Gather your friends from SPC, invite friends and family from around the community, and put together a table for what promises to be a fun and entertaining evening. There will be some fantastic prizes and auction items up for grabs, including an exciting Parramatta Eels experience, support from the Canterbury Bulldogs, and a G-Shock watch.
We will also be auctioning some incredible sporting memorabilia, including a framed, signed jersey from SPC Old Boy Mark "Marky Mark" Nawaqanitawase, as well as tennis memorabilia featuring Ash Barty, Lleyton Hewitt and Alex de Minaur.
If you can donate an item for our raffle or auction, we would be extremely grateful. Donations from our families and wider community make a significant difference and help us continue to support our boys.
The P&F's events are about much more than having fun and bringing our community together. Every dollar raised goes directly back to our boys and our school. Our current fundraising focus is the renovation of the Year 12 lunch area and Breen Kitchen, creating improved spaces that our boys can enjoy now and that will continue to benefit future generations of SPC students.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supports the P&F, whether by purchasing a ticket, volunteering, donating an auction item or simply coming along and joining in.
Thank you to our families, staff, volunteers and wider community for your continued support. Together, we are creating wonderful memories for our boys today while investing in their school for the future.
