Celebrate Families Week


Kingston Beach Fun Run and Walk

Registrations close this Saturday 18 May at 2pm so we can setup for timing bib collection. Don't miss out! The 5km run and walk event will commence at 9am from the Gormley Road Oval (Kingston Little Athletics) and finish on Kingston Beach. Check our map at https://kingstonbeachfunrun.com. Wheelchair and pram racers are asked to use the pathway at Kingston Beach where you will have your time recorded. So too dog walkers (on lead), who have alternate start point above Gormley oval.

 

All Runners and Walkers must register online. NO registrations on the day.

Your race number will be ready for collection on the day 7:30-8:45am at the Scout Hall, Kingston View Drive, Kingston. Note the road closures will be in place from 8:50am so please arrive before 8:40am to enable participant drop offs and parking. All car parking is to be at Overflow car park on Kingston view drive so allow 5-10 mins from car park to Gormley Rd and bib collection. A bus will shuttle participants back to the overflow car park to collect vehicles.

 

There will be plenty of prizes on offer, so get ready for some fun and fitness and take part in this great annual Kingborough event.


Little Athletics - Cross Country (Repeat)

Little Athletics conducts Cross Country events in both the North and South of the state over the winter months. This year is a very exciting time for Cross Country with the National Championship for all ages being held in Tasmania. If your students would like some extra practice in the lead up to school/school association/All Schools/Nationals we are here to help.

Alcohol certification (RSA) is a must.

With the support of funding provided through the Premier's Fund for Children and Young People, you could get your RSA in one night with Scala Training and then be able to apply for your next job with ease.

2024 Photographic Competition - ArtsNational Hobart (Repeat)

ArtsNational Hobart (formerly ADFAS) has organised a Photographic Competition for young artists. Young photographers (aged 16-24) are encouraged to enter the online 2024 Photographic Competition with the theme of “The Play of Light” (it’s free to enter).

  • The 2024 theme is “The Play of Light” and this can be interpreted by the  photographers in a wide variety of creative ways.
  • Each photograph is accompanied by an artist’s statement that explains the background to, and intent of, their artwork.
  • Entries open on 20 May and close 15 September 2024.
  • Entries must be digital only.

The finalists will be determined by a panel of experienced, professional Tasmanian photographers and the successful finalists will have their work displayed on the ArtsNational Hobart website.
