Mother’s Day Breakfast
SCC hosted a beautiful Mother’s Day Breakfast for Mothers and Motherly Carers of the SCC community and CityLight Church last Thursday.
It was a lovely morning coming together as a community: sharing breakfast; watching a video montage of students and staff sharing their thoughts about their mums; listening to our guest speaker Ineke Laning, sharing inspirational stories about her own family journey; and being emotionally touched by a musical item from Deanna Klaver.

Australian Early Development Census
From May 2024, our school, along with thousands of others across the country, will participate in the Australian Early Development Census (AEDC).
The AEDC is a teacher-completed census (similar to a questionnaire) which provides a comprehensive picture of how children have developed by the time they start their first year of full-time school. The AEDC is an Australian Government Initiative and is completed nationally every three years.
Our Prep teachers will be completing the census for students in their class. Parents of Prep students will soon receive an email with further information about the census.
Please click on the PDF below for futher information.

Help us Put a Stop to Homelessness! (Repeat)
Every day, at least 20 individuals and families visit Hobart City Mission to get help with the food and clothing they need to get through winter and we want to help ensure that food is always available.
We want to live in a place where people in crisis have somewhere to turn, and beds are available for those who need them so we’ve signed up to take the Sleep Rough Challenge on Friday night, May 24!
We’ll be spending the night at PW1, with hundreds of other Tassie legends, to raise vital funds for the programs and people who are fighting homelessness here in Southern Tasmania.
Please sponsor us using the link below and be part of making life easier for those doing it tough this winter.
