Parents Association

Dear St Bede’s Community,

Last week on Monday 1st December 2025, the Parents Association Annual General Meeting was held in the staff room. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Here’s a brief overview of the evening:

The meeting began with a warm welcome to all attendees. The President’s Report was presented, followed by the School Report from Kathryn Murphy, and the Treasurer’s Report for the financial year ending 30.11.2025. Reports were reviewed, accepted, and adopted.

We also extended our sincere thanks to the 2025 Committee for their dedication and service throughout the year as they stepped down from their roles. Nominations were then opened, and the newly elected Committee for 2026:

•          President – (this position remains vacant)

•          Vice President – Andrew Mott

•          Treasurer – (this position remains vacant)

•          Secretary – Sarah Varasso

•          Class Representative Coordinator – Fran Caruso

•          Social/Fundraising – (this position remains vacant. This is a fun position for a small group to work together)

•          School Representatives – Amanda Martin, Kathryn Murphy

•          Uniform Shop – Chantal Valis

•          Care Group – Chantal Valis

•          Tuckshop – Lisa Marulli, Lisa Sette, Linda Cassar

•        Fathers/Mother’s Day Stall – Bronwyn Cornish, Rania Michael & Terie Kyvelidis

•          Father-Child Camp – Jarrod Lucas

•          General Members – Catherine Purtell, Lisa Marulli, Lisa Sette, Tinniki Mott, Manal

Unfortunately, not all positions were filled on the night, however it is not  too late to get involved. If you would like to nominate for any of the vacant positions, please reach out to Kathryn Murphy or Amanda Martin. We are excited to welcome our new members to the PA Committee and look forward to another eventful year for 2026.

Mark in your calendar please our first PA meeting for 2026 will be Wednesday 25th February 2026, 7pm in the school staff room. All are welcome.

A special thank you goes to Kathryn, Amanda and all the school staff for their commitment to fostering a safe, happy, and enriching environment for our children.

Lastly, we wish you and your loved ones a safe and blessed Christmas. May your holidays be filled with joy, love, and cherished moments. We look forward to seeing many of you at the Christmas Carols next week.
