Marwal Magic News

It has been another exciting and fun-filled season for our students proudly playing for Marwal Magic!

This week saw 3 of our teams make the Spring season Grand Final where we had two very narrow losses (3 point loss and 1 point loss!) and one big win! Regardless of the results it was great to see and hear of the wonderful sportsmanship and team play demonstrated by our students.

It is a wonderful experience to play in a team alongside your school friends and we thank all of the student's parents and our Junior Community League coordinator Victoria Marshall for making this happen!

Vicky will be leaving our school community this year (Auden Year 3).  Her and her husband Andy's amazing work behind the scenes has been instrumental in setting up this basketball community at St Bede's. Thankyou so much Vicky and Andy you will be sorely missed!

This means that for basketball to move forward at St Bede's next year we will need a new coordinator. The role involves:

• receiving and passing on communications regarding upcoming seasons.
• liaising with myself(Amanda Martin) regarding calls for expressions of interest.
• registering teams.
• providing information regarding competition and individual registration links to all teams.
• organising team managers and coaches if required.
• setting up 'whats app' for coaches and Team Managers.
• handling queries and complaints from teams and communicating to Bulleen Basketball Club where needed.
• responding to any communications from Bulleen Basketball Club regarding St Bede’s teams.

• attending a once a season meeting with club and coordinators from other schools.
