A Celebration of Pride, Community & Young Men Rising
The 2025 Clontarf Academy Awards Night was an unforgettable celebration of our young men, their achievements, and the strong community that continues to stand behind them. Held at Narrandera High School, the evening brought together a remarkable turnout of family members, Elders, community leaders, school staff, local supporters, and our valued funded partners—each playing a vital role in making the night one to remember.
From the moment guests walked through the door, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, pride, and a deep sense of belonging. The boys had worked hard in preparation, and it showed. Every Academy member who took the stage delivered a heartfelt speech that reflected their growth, confidence, and the pride they carry in being part of the Clontarf family. Their words captured stories of resilience, gratitude, leadership, and personal success—proof of just how far many of them have come.
As Clontarf Director, witnessing the maturity and courage of our young men is one of the most rewarding parts of this role. Public speaking can be a challenge for anyone, but our boys once again proved why we place such a strong emphasis on developing confidence, communication skills and resilience. Hearing them speak so proudly in front of their families, teachers, and community members was a powerful reminder of what the Clontarf Program is all about: creating opportunities, building strong relationships, and shaping strong young men for the future.
Teaching staff and school support personnel were also recognised throughout the evening for their ongoing commitment to our boys. Their efforts—both inside and outside the classroom—play a significant role in helping our Academy thrive.
Our community and funded partners, who attended in strong numbers, were thanked for their continued support. Without their contributions, many of the opportunities, camps, leadership experiences and events we offer simply wouldn’t be possible. Their presence at the awards night highlighted the strong and growing partnership between Clontarf and the local Narrandera community.
The awards themselves showcased outstanding achievements across attendance, leadership, community involvement, sports, and personal growth. Whether it was a young man stepping out of his comfort zone, taking on a new leadership role, improving his schooling, or being a positive role model to others—each award recognised a journey worth celebrating.
The 2025 Clontarf Academy Awards Night was more than just a ceremony—it was a testament to the strength of our Academy, the unity of our community, and the bright futures ahead for our young men. Nights like these remind us why we take pride in this work and inspire us to continue guiding, supporting, and celebrating the next generation of strong Aboriginal leaders.
