VETFEST: 

Our VET students from the Certificate 2 and 1st year Certificate 3 courses recently joined with VET students from Mt Clear College in staging VETFEST 17.

All of the students gained valuable performance experience and enjoyed collaborating to produce an entertaining show.

Whizbang:

On Wednesday 5th June, Ballarat High's Whizbang joined forces for a collab with Phoenix P-12 Community Colleges Phoenix Phunk.

In a joyous afternoon of music making, the students shared songs, dance steps and arrangements and collaborated to produce new material.

All of the afternoons work will be showcased in a big show at Ballarat Trades Hall on Wednesday 2nd July between 7pm and 9pm. 

Year 7 band concert: 

Our Year 7 band students had their first outing with a band performance on Wednesday 29th May to parents and friends. This was the first time the band has performed and they did an amazing job, particularly as they have only rehearsed together as an ensemble this Term. Well done Year 7 musos, a fabulous first gig.

Geoff Herkes Memorial Concert:

On Sunday 15th June Ballarat High musicians will take to the stage at the Ballarat Jazz Club for the Geoff Herkes Memorial Concert. This event has now been staged for a number of years and we are very appreciative of the support that the Ballarat Jazz Club provides for our students. Geoff was the initiator of the concept and his legacy lives on through this yearly celebration of young people performing in the jazz idiom.
