Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Families,
This Sunday, 1 November, we celebrate All Saints Day, remembering the saints and all those who have shown kindness, compassion, courage and faith through the way they live and care for others.
On Monday, 2 November, we commemorate All Souls Day, a time to remember and pray for those who have died, giving thanks for their lives and the precious memories we hold.
As a Sacred Heart community, we keep in our thoughts and prayers all families who are grieving the recent loss of loved ones, surrounding them with our love, care and support.
Our Prayer
Loving God,
As we celebrate All Saints Day and remember All Souls Day, we give thanks for all those who have touched our lives with love, kindness and compassion.
We especially remember the families in our Sacred Heart community who are grieving the recent loss of loved ones. Surround them with your comfort, strength and peace. May they feel the love and support of those around them.
May we continue to honour those we have lost by carrying their love and kindness in our hearts and sharing it with others.
May they rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon them.
Amen.
World Teachers’ Day – Shine a Light on Teachers
This week, we celebrated World Teachers’ Day with the theme Shine a Light on Teachers. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate our amazing teachers and Learning Support Officers, and the difference they make in the lives of our children every day.
At Sacred Heart, our staff do so much more than teach. They inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, encourage new challenges and create learning environments where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
To our wonderful teachers and LSOs, thank you for the passion, dedication, patience and genuine care you bring to our school each day. I am incredibly grateful for all that you do and the many ways you help our children learn, grow and shine.
Thank you for being the light that helps our children shine! ✨💚
Prayers in Pyjamas
Our Prayers in Pyjamas evening last Thursday was a wonderful success. It was lovely to see so many Fondation to Year 2 children and families come together in their pyjamas to share in prayer and experience how prayer is part of learning in our junior classrooms.
A very big thank you to Kate, Marty, Maddy, Terri and Liz for their wonderful enthusiasm, preparation and time in making the evening so special.
Most importantly, thank you to all the families who joined us and made the evening such a special occasion. We loved sharing this time with you.
We look forward to many more opportunities to come together as a Sacred Heart community.
Grandparents and Special Friends Day
It was wonderful to welcome so many grandparents and special friends to Sacred Heart on Monday. It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate the special role they play in our children's lives and the love, care and support they give each day.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. We are so grateful to have you as part of our Sacred Heart community.
