Loving God,

As we begin a new school year, we place ourselves in your care.

You know our families excitement and our worries,

Be with us as we learn, grow, and make new friendships.

Give us confidence when we feel nervous, and courage to try our best each day.

Be with our parents. Give them patience, understanding, and trust through this new year.

Bless the teachers and staff at St Carlo. Guide them with wisdom, energy, and compassion as they help their students grow in knowledge and faith.

May St Carlo Borromeo Primary School be a place of safety, belonging, and joy,

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

We warmly invite all parents and families to join us for our Opening School Mass, as we come together as a school and parish community to begin the new school year in prayer. This Mass is a special opportunity to give thanks, ask for God’s blessing on the year ahead, and celebrate our shared faith. We would love to have you with us as we gather in hope and gratitude at the start of the year.

During this Mass, our Year 6 student leaders will be formally presented to the school community. As part of this special moment, they will receive their captain’s badges, recognising their leadership roles and their commitment to serve our school with responsibility, kindness, and integrity. We look forward to celebrating and supporting them as they lead by example throughout the year.
