Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 are encouraged to take advantage of Open Days at universities and TAFE institutions throughout 2026, most of which are held in late July and August.

Open Days provide a valuable opportunity to explore campuses at their best, meet academics, lecturers, and current students, and gain a real understanding of courses, entry requirements, and study options. 

Students can also learn what campus life feels like, including facilities, accommodation options, transport, and the overall learning environment.

Attending Open Days helps students make informed decisions about their future studies and feel more confident about transitioning into tertiary education.

To get the most out of these events, students are encouraged to prepare questions, arrive early, explore the campus, and take the opportunity to speak directly with staff rather than just collecting brochures.
