Grade 2 News

As part of our writing lessons, Grade 2 students participated in a nature painting language experience. Students were challenged to create a painting without using a single paintbrush! Instead, they were challenged to use materials from nature such as leaves, sticks, flowers and bark. They experimented with different textures, patterns and techniques, discovering how each material created unique marks and effects on their artwork.
After completing their paintings, students used this experience to develop a recount. They practised organising their ideas in sequence and used transition words, including first, next, then and finally.
