Celebrating a Fantastic First Semester

Dear Families,

As we reach the end of Semester One, it is hard to believe just how quickly the year has flown by. The past six months have been filled with learning, growth, achievement and countless opportunities for our students to challenge themselves and support one another.

Across every year level, our students have demonstrated a strong commitment to their learning. Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, through the arts, or while participating in camps, excursions and special events, they have continued to embrace new experiences with enthusiasm and determination. We are incredibly proud of the effort, resilience and positive attitudes our students bring to school each day.

A particular highlight this semester has been the significant progress made in implementing our School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS) framework. Staff and students have worked together to establish clear expectations and create a consistent approach to fostering a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

While this work is ongoing, we are already seeing the benefits through positive student interactions, stronger relationships and a shared understanding of what it means to be a valued member of the Berwick Chase community. We thank our students, staff and families for embracing this important initiative and helping to strengthen our positive school culture.

One of the great strengths of our school community is the way our students grow together. Learning is not simply about individual success; it is also about encouraging others, working collaboratively and striving to be better than we were yesterday. Throughout Semester One, we have seen students support their peers, celebrate each other's achievements and challenge one another to reach new heights academically and personally.

While we are pleased with the progress made so far, we remain committed to supporting every student to continue their journey. We look forward to building on the strong foundations established this semester as we move into the second half of the year.

As the holiday break begins, I encourage all families to take the opportunity to slow down, recharge and enjoy quality time together. Whether you are travelling, catching up with family and friends, or simply enjoying a quieter routine, I hope the coming weeks provide everyone with some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

Thank you to our students, staff and families for another successful semester. I look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term Three, refreshed and ready for another exciting chapter of learning, growth and success.

Have a safe and enjoyable holiday break.

Warm regards,

Chris Short
