NSWCPS CROSS COUNTRY
A huge congratulations to all our students yesterday competing for the ACS Diocesan Cross Country Team in Sydney. In large fields of runners and on a very tough Cross Country Course, our students should be extremely proud of their results.
8 & 9 Years – Girls: Ella H 3rd overall
8 & 9 Years - Boys: Levi C 8th overall and Henry Y 27th overall
10 Years - Boys: Henry B 6th overall and Ethan W 7th overall
11 Years - Boys: Hudson Y 19th overall
12 Years – Boys: Max C 36th overall
We are incredibly proud to announce that Ella H and Henry B have earned the honour of representing our school and Polding at the next level! A huge congratulations and good luck to the lil' legends who will be competing at the NSW PSSA Cross Country Championships on 22 July in Sydney. It takes a high level of dedication to make the cut, and we know you’re going to make us proud.
ST NICHOLAS ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
"Character is clear when the weather is cold."
If anyone needed proof of the grit and resilience of our school community, they only needed to look at the athletic track last Friday 19 June 2026. The icy wind and freezing temperatures were no match for the enthusiasm of our students, staff, and parent supporters.
Instead of shivering on the sidelines, our houses dug deep, kept each other warm with huge cheers, and gave it their absolute all, their effort was nothing short of inspiring.
A huge thank you to the parents who braved the cold to cheer from the sidelines, and to the staff who kept the day running like clockwork. How wonderful are our parents from Little A's who donated their time, wealth of experience and the brilliant timing gates? This led to our most accurate times to date! To Clare and Michael Dubois for their unwavering support of primary sports and high jump expertise, and to our wonderful secondary students from McCarthy for volunteering their time on the day. Thank you to Bindy Abell from ACS Primary Sport for braving the cold, for her encouragement and assistance with such a huge day!

ACS RUGBY UNION
Good luck to Max C who is trialling at the NSWCPS Rugby Union Championships in Forbes on Sunday, 28th and Monday 29th of June, 2026.
ACS TOUCH TEAM AT POLDING TRIALS
What a solid effort from Hudson Y, Arthur B, Lucy S and Jessie G who all trialled for the Polding Touch Football team on 12 June 2026. Some very tough and fast competition allowed for a great day of Touch Football and a brilliant learning experience for our legends. Thank you to Mel for the action pics!
ST NIC'S BASKETBALL NEWS
We would like to wish all St Nic’s basketball teams the very best of luck as they head into their upcoming finals. It has been fantastic to see the growth, teamwork and sportsmanship shown by all players throughout the season.
A sincere thank you goes to our coaches for generously giving their time, knowledge and encouragement each week, your guidance has been greatly appreciated.
Players and families are reminded to keep an eye on their emails in the coming weeks for information about the Semester 2 competition and an opportunity to indicate whether they would like to play again for the second half of the year (July 30th- Nov 12th).
If you know that your child will not play again, please return their singlet in a labelled bag to Mrs Pearce before the end of the term.

We love celebrating the achievements of our St Nicholas athletes. If your child or team has competed in a weekend game, gala day, or representative trial, we want to hear about it!
Please send all match reports, results, and photos for the newsletter to: sntsport@arm.catholic.edu.au by Monday close of business each fortnight (Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10).
