OUR FAITH

PRAYER
We thank you, Lord, for this term. For our challenges, our successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends. Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith.
Amen
We pray ...
For all those travelling during the holidays – may they be kept safe; for our St Nicholas School Community, that we all experience a happy and refreshing holiday break with our family and loved ones.
FAMILY MASS
Our next Family Mass will be this Sunday, 28th June. This will be hosted by Year 1 and Year 5. Any students from this grade who would like to read at the Mass, could you please email Mrs Scott, amcleod@arm.catholic.edu.au
FIRST EUCHARIST
Congratulations to all the students who celebrated the Sacrament of First Eucharist. This was such a special and memorable occasion for the candidates, their families, and our entire parish community.
The children looked wonderful and were beautifully dressed for the event. We want to extend a sincere thank you to our parents for your support in ensuring that the children’s attire truly reflected a "sense of the occasion."
An event this special takes a village, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to:
- Father Chris: For the beautiful manner in which he celebrated both Masses, making them so meaningful and personal for our children and their families.
- Our Dedicated Staff: A very big thank you to Mrs Whitbread, Mrs Fisher, Miss Cameron, and Mrs Roberts for ensuring that our students were so thoroughly prepared for this important step in their faith journey this year.
- The Parish Community: Thank you to the Altar Servers, the Parish Choir, and the many school and parish members who have been keeping our candidates in their prayers.
MINI VINNIES WINTER APPEAL
As the frosty winter weather settles in, it’s easy to look forward to cozy nights indoors with a hot drink and a thick blanket. Sadly, for many people in our local community, winter brings extra hardship instead of comfort.
This year, our Mini Vinnies team is putting their faith into action to bring warmth and hope to those who need it most. We are officially launching our Winter Appeal, and we need your help to make a difference!
We are asking for any old winter coats or jackets that no longer fit, canned soups, canned spaghetti, and canned fruit. Please send your donations to Mrs Scott at the school.
GRANDPARENTS DAY
One of the happiest and biggest days on our school calendar is just around the corner! Grandparents Day will be celebrated on Friday, 24th July. We would love to invite all of our Nans, Pops, Grans, and Grandpas—or that special friend—to come along and join us on this wonderful day. It is a beautiful opportunity for our school community to celebrate and give thanks to God for these incredibly special people in our lives.
ST NICHOLAS PARISH MEN'S BREAKFAST
