FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents, Carers, and Friends of St Nicholas’,
Athletics Carnival
Last Friday, we held our annual School Athletics Carnival. Our whole school community braved a chilly day at the TRAC to complete our running and field events. As always, our carnival showcases and often unearths the athletic talents of our students, however it also showcases our wonderful school spirit, with students across all grades participating for many converted house points and demonstrating inspiring sportsmanship.
Even though we had to modify some events to ensure they were completed before the rain came in the afternoon, our participation numbers were excellent from our youngest runners in Kindergarten, right through to our senior students competing in their last primary school carnival. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Year 6 leaders for their example throughout the day and for the support of the younger students.
A huge thank you also needs to go to Nicole Henn for her organisation and coordination of the day, to our amazing staff and parent helpers for their support and to our wonderful P&F for providing the BBQ lunch, it was much appreciated. Well done everyone !!

Next Thursday, our students will walk out the school gates for the last time this Semester. They will walk out having completed an enormous 11-week term filled with learning and co-curricular activities that help shape our students into literate and numerate students with a hope-filled future. Our families are lucky to have such a dedicated and passionate staff, thank you.
