Grade 3 & 4

Term 2- Week 6

What a buzz the classroom was after our pupil free day on Tuesday. It was lovely to see the kids reconnecting, sharing their stories of having sleep-ins and even pancakes for some! Hopefully, it was a little 'recharge' day for all.

We have busily been writing stories about Imagineers and turtles using a hamburger planning sheet. Each student proofreads their stories to ensure 'It makes sense' and if it doesn't, add or delete words/phrases. With a purple editing pen, they follow the steps on the 'Editing Pen' poster to identify the missing parts of their writing and fix it up, before seeing the teacher. It is building great self-responsibility in our students.

We were lucky enough to have Summer bring in a butterfly cocoon that hatched in the classroom. We were all very excited to watch the butterfly learn to use its wings for the first time. We then released it into the world.

Much appreciated construction is happening around us, and we are collectively watching the steps happening as well as being flexible in adapting to any noise that is occurring- our tradies are quite remarkable at timing the 'Big noise' to our play and lunch breaks.

Have a wonderful week.
