Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day
Dear Families,
I hope everyone is gearing up to head down to Bunnings tomorrow to buy a sausage. Josh Koenig and his team of helpers will be there, firing up the BBQ to raise funds for the school. A big thank you to Josh, his helpers and all the families for their donations. We are truly blessed to have such generous families.
Congratulations to Eden M on her amazing results in cross-country. Getting through to the next level is an incredible achievement. We are very proud of you, Eden.
A reminder to country bus families that buses are not running next Friday, June 5th. But school is still running, so we look forward to seeing you here.
Next week, there could be a lot of activity related to the build. We are hoping for a large steel delivery, and it is possible that more concrete may be poured. We thank you for your continuing patience as we navigate the build. It is so exciting to watch each stage.
Given the build and the fact that more children are using the bus gate in Roberts Avenue, we have had to make some changes. Children will not be permitted to exit the gate until the bell rings at the end of the day. Children waiting at Gate 2 will line up at the gate and won't be permitted to play in the yard. It simply makes supervision too hard. A gentle reminder that supervision for pickup ends at 3.40 pm. At this stage, children may be brought up to the office to wait. Staff often have after-school commitments and meetings that begin at this time. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
Next Tuesday, our Grade 6 children head to Melbourne for their 4-day camp. I have managed to get a seat on the bus, and I am looking forward to spending some time with the children and staff. Although it does look as though it might be a wet week.
Wishing you all a great weekend ahead.
Louise
