Green Magpies and Green Gurruks

We have made excellent progress in the Green Nest. 

  1. The Chook Barn is nearly completed, thank-you to Christo (Dotty's dad in Prep S) and some of our students who have done all the construction.
  2. Kate FitzGerald and Gill Davey, along with school captains attended Fosterville Goldmine for the grant presentation that funded the Chook Barn.
  3. We were also successful in a Jnr Landcare/Woolies grant for $1,000 to build some large compost bays and they are underway also. Thanks Mr I!

 

 

 

What's been happening with the Green Magpies you ask??

Over the last few weeks, the Green Magpies have been harvesting and replanting seedlings for our winter crop. Check out the pumpkin Denni is holding, and the cute little capsicums Knox and Bentley harvested! We replanted some butterfly attracting plants and flowers, which will help keep our school biodiverse. In our main veggie gardens, we planted broccoli, snow peas, beetroot, carrots and ...
