LIDS FOR KIDS 

Pathways students sorted and weighed plastic lids in our House colours to find out which house was donating more lids. Here are the results:

Well done Naranga!   That is a fantastic effort everyone. 

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE KITCHEN GARDEN?

Our cauliflowers and peas are growing well. Students will need to cover smaller seedlings to protect them from any frosts. Students learned about Worm towers and how to install one in our raised bed. This is a wonderful way to add nutrients to our garden beds. Once installed, we will place some small pieces of food scraps, shredded paper or add some hay mulch for the worms. We will water with one tablespoon of molasses into nine litre watering can and pour inside the tower to keep it moist. The tower will have a cover to keep flies and bugs out.
