Eucharist Congratulations - Sunday 25th May 2025
Congratulations to Samantha, Suzanna, Laura, Georgia, Luke and Lawrence who received their First Eucharist on Sunday 25th of May. It was a faith filled celebration with our wider Sacred Heart Parish community; thank you to the families who helped assist in this next step along their child's faith journey.
A special thank you to Katelin, Jazlyn, Tazlyn, Allie, Hanny, Chloe and Ezra who very kindly sang the reflection hymn alongside their friends. A number of the these students gave up their own time to be there and we really appreciated their presence.
CHILD SAFETY
Being a child safe organisation is an ongoing process of continual review and earlier in the term we reviewed the Victorian Child Safe Standards with all teaching staff and Learning Support Officers.
As stated by Melbourne Archdiocese: Catholic educators have a moral, mission-driven and legal responsibility to uphold and actively promote the wellbeing and safety of every student entrusted to our care. Schools wer required to be compliant with the Child Safe Standards and Ministerial Order number 1359 from 1 July 2022.
I have attached a helpful explanation of the Victorian Child Safe Standards, more information can be found at www.ccyp.vic.gov.au
Take Care,
Kate
