Dear Sacred Heart Community,

A Prayer for Our Sacred Heart Families

Loving God,

We thank You for the gift of our Sacred Heart community,

for the families who support, nurture, and guide with love.

Bless each home with peace, joy, and understanding.

Strengthen our bonds of friendship, faith, and care.

May we always walk together in Your light,

sharing kindness, hope, and compassion with one another.

Amen.

First Eucharist Congratulations ✨

Congratulations to Lawrence, Samantha, Suzie, Laura, Georgia, and Luke who celebrated their First Eucharist last Sunday. It was a beautiful and joyful occasion.

A special thank you to Father Aloysius, our Religious Education Leader Kate, and staff Marie, Denise, and James for guiding the children so thoughtfully. Thank you also to all staff and families for your support and presence on this special day. A heartfelt thanks to our school choir for their beautiful singing.  💖

Student Awards

At yesterday’s assembly, we proudly acknowledged students who received Good Samaritan Awards and Academic Achievement Awards.

The Good Samaritan Awards recognise students who consistently show kindness, compassion, and a willingness to help others, living out the values at the heart of our school. The Academic Achievement Awards celebrate those who have demonstrated outstanding effort, growth, or excellence in their learning.

Congratulations to all our award recipients. We are proud of your efforts and the positive example you set for our school community.

Staff Professional Learning Day - Tuesday 10th June 2025

A reminder that Tuesday 10th June 2025 (the day after the King’s Birthday public holiday) is a Staff Professional Learning Day.

Staff will be engaging in a valuable day of professional learning with a focus on Neurodiversity and Wellbeing. We are pleased to welcome Ebony Birch Hanger, an expert in neuro-affirming practices, who will guide staff in deepening their understanding of how to best support all learners.

This learning aligns with our ongoing commitment to inclusion and wellbeing, ensuring we continue to provide a supportive learning environment for every child.

MACSEYE, our before and after school care provider, will be offering care on this day. Bookings must be made directly with MACSEYE, and children must be registered prior to attending.

Thank you for your support as staff engage in this important day of professional learning.

2024 Annual Report to the School Community (ARSC)

Each year, all Victorian schools are required to publish an Annual Report to the School Community (ARSC). The report outlines key achievements, improvements, and activities from the school year and reflects our ongoing commitment to student learning, wellbeing, and community engagement.

Thank you to our Leadership Team for finalising the 2024 ARSC for Sacred Heart Primary School last week. The report provides valuable insights into our progress and growth as a school community. It also meets the regulatory requirements set by the Victorian Department of Education.

The 2024 ARSC  will be presented to the School Advisory Council at our next meeting in June and will then be available on our school website for families and community members to access and review.

Foundation Enrolments for 2026

Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead!

Take care,

Antoniette
