The Excitement of a Reciprocal Exchange Program

Charley Sanderson, Year 10

One of the great things about learning French in Year 10 is the opportunity to be part of the Kilvington Global Connections Program and participate in a five-week exchange trip to Toulouse, France at the end of 2025.

It will be amazing to visit the beautiful city of Toulouse, immerse myself in French culture, and improve my language skills in preparation for VCE French. I'm also looking forward to developing greater independence!

I’ve already started communicating with my French exchange student from St Joseph La Salle, Pauline. We have a lot in common and have already become good friends through messaging and chatting online. When she visits Australia in July, I’m excited to show her all my favourite parts of Melbourne and introduce her to some classic Australian food!

Meeting Pauline face-to-face in July will make it even more exciting to see her again at the end of the year in her hometown. I’m truly looking forward to this incredible opportunity to build a new friendship and share our cultures.
