Harmony Day
In March, Kilvington came alive with a vibrant display of orange and cultural dress as we celebrated Harmony Day. Harmony Week is a time to embrace and honour the diversity that makes up our community, bringing together Australians from all backgrounds. It’s a celebration of inclusiveness, respect and belonging — values we proudly uphold at Kilvington.
ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE
From the ELC to Year 12, our community came together for our annual food drive in support of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC). Thanks to the generosity of students and families, we collected an incredible 80 bags filled with essential groceries, providing much-needed support to those facing hardship.
CUT FOR A CAUSE
The sun shone for our annual Senior School Cut for a Cause. This year, 15 students took the brave step of cutting their hair for charity. Fourteen students raised an impressive AUD$7,000 for the ASRC, while one student raised over AUD$2,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation, a cause close to their family's heart.
Our strong connection with the ASRC continues beyond fundraising. As part of their Impact Program, Year 9 students are currently visiting the ASRC, touring the facility and hearing firsthand from a speaker with lived experience.
Together, these initiatives reflect the heart of our Kilvington community — one that is compassionate, engaged and committed to making a difference.
International student reflection:
Harmony Day was a fantastic celebration of cultures and traditions. I loved seeing the different performances, food, and displays—it really showed how diverse and vibrant our school is.
