Dear Parents, Guardians and Kingswood Community,
KINGSWOOD ART EXHIBITION TERM 4
Some exciting news for your children and our community! We will be having a Kingswood Primary School Art Show in Term 4 during the weeks of Monday the 27th Oct through to Friday 7th November 2025.
Each student will choose a piece or pieces of art that they are most proud of to put into the exhibition. They will choose from all the pieces of art that they have created during Visual Arts lessons throughout 2025. That's why you haven't seen much artwork sent home or featured in the newsletter — we want it to be a wonderful surprise when you visit!" All are welcome to come. More details to follow.
KINGSWOOD CLOTHING
Often during Visual Arts lessons we are using paint where the students are instructed to wear a smock. During winter when they are wearing thick school jackets, they need to take them off in order to fit a smock. It has become a problem at the end of the lesson in all grade levels where the jumpers have no names, blurred names and incorrect names. It takes time to try and sort it out and makes it difficult to return any stray jumpers. Please, could you take the time over the holidays to make sure all jumpers are clearly named in bold.
OTHER NEWS
I need a volunteer for next term to trace and cut out Japanese hand fans for the Prep grades. I would be requiring approximately 60 fans made from cardboard. If you could spare some time to do this, please send an email through Compass.
I am looking for approximately 10 baby formula tins (washed if you can) for the Art Show. Thank you to Jordan Beck for supplying the first 15 tins! These will be used as voting tubs in the Kingswood Art Show.
Other items needed: Aerosol lids, spice jars and 8 ply wool.
Thank you to all those parents who donate interesting items to the art room for the students to use. It is very much appreciated and provides a good lesson in recycling and reusing.
Thank you to Kathryn (First Aid Officer) and her husband for donating a huge amount of white paper to the school, amazing!
Thanking you all.
