Grade 3/4/5/6

The past week has been packed with excitement, featuring Science Week events and our excursion to the Discovery Centre in Bendigo. This week, we continued the fun with Book Week, which included a parade, special rotations, a visit to the Castlemaine Library on Monday, and a Book Week incursion with Perform Education on Wednesday.
Amaya has provided a wonderful summary of our Science Week excursion.
On Wednesday August 19th all of the students and some teachers went on the bus to the Discovery Centre. Some of the main highlights were the vertical slide, exploring and doing a Lego animation session. The vertical slide was quite scary so I didn’t go down it but some brave people did and we were very impressed. While we were exploring we saw some cool things like the mirror maze, a seat that you can pull yourself up on and a Lego mural that you can add your own creation too. Which was my personal favourite. The Lego animation session was very cool as we made our creations, turned off the lights, spun them and were fascinated. Even though it was raining we still had lots of fun and made it back safely to school.
