Celebration Day Update

Student votes are currently being tallied to decide our next Celebration Day! Thanks to our students' ongoing efforts in demonstrating our school values of Compassion, Ambition, Courage and Creativity, our Celebration Tree once again filled with birds, earning another whole-school celebration.

While we wait, here's a fun bird fact...

Did you know? Superb Fairywrens start "talking" to their chicks before they even hatch! While the chicks are still inside the egg, their mum sings them a unique call. Once they hatch, the chicks use that same call when they're hungry, helping their parents recognise them.

Parent/Carers Survey 2026

You are invited to participate in the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey. Your opinions are important to us, and your feedback will assist our school in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of the school climate, student behavior, and student engagement.

The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete. 

The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.

Toilet Expectations – Working Together

Over recent weeks, our cleaners have reported an increase in inappropriate behaviour occurring in some of our student toilets, particularly in the boys' toilets. This has included items such as sticks being placed in urinals, toilet paper rolls being left in toilets, and toilets being used inappropriately.

To support all students, teachers are revisiting our expectations for respectful toilet use this week, with a focus on two of our school values: Ambition and Courage.

Ambition

• Keep the toilet area clean and tidy.

• Use resources responsibly, including water, toilet paper and soap.

   

Courage

• Tell the office if something isn't right in the toilets.

• Report inappropriate behaviour to a trusted adult at school.

   

Clean, safe and well-maintained toilet facilities are important for everyone's health, wellbeing and dignity. When facilities are misused, it can make students feel uncomfortable using the toilets, create unnecessary work for our cleaning staff, and divert school resources that could otherwise be used to support student learning.

We ask all families to please take a few moments to discuss these expectations with your child. Reinforcing respectful toilet habits at home helps us maintain facilities that all students can use safely, confidently and respectfully.
