Student achievements

City of Hobart Eisteddfod

Congratulations to our Year 4 Choir who was awarded first place in the 'Year 6 and Under Choral Section' of the 2024 City of Hobart Eisteddfod. The Year 4 students took to the stage at Hobart Town Hall with bravery and enthusiasm, delighting audience members with their magnificent renditions of Bare Necessities and The Night Wind

Enjoy a sample of their performance in the video below.

In addition to their beautiful singing, the choir was commended for their energy, accuracy, rhythm, clapping, dynamics and mood setting.

The students were very excited to return to the College with the Junior Choral Trophy, which will be on display in the Music Room for the next 12 months.

The Year 4 cohort should be very proud of this fantastic achievement. Special thanks must go to the Year 4 teachers, Mary Heferen-Faulkner (Music Teacher) and Michael Power (Assistant Coordinator of Music) for their dedication and work behind the scenes in preparing the students for the occasion.

NCSS Programming Challenge
