Mathmatics 

This term in Maths, we are refining our counting skills, exploring measurement, and introducing data collection. We will be building our understanding of place value by naming, representing, and ordering numbers beyond 20. In Measurement, students will participate in hands-on problem-solving to compare the mass (weight) and capacity (how much something holds) of various objects, as well as begin looking at telling time to the o'clock to help prepare them for Year 1!

In Statistics, students will learn how to collect, sort, and classify data using simple yes/no questions and physical objects. Finally, we will dedicate time to revising key addition and subtraction strategies, such as "1 more," "counting on," "doubles," and finding combinations to 5 and 10 using physical materials and play money.
