HEAD START

Head Start Program Parent/Guardian Consent

Head Start supports our school’s students to explore school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (SBAT) opportunities. Head Start requires parent or guardian consent to provide this service to students.

SBATs combine secondary schooling with paid employment and training, and are open to students who are:

  • enrolled in Year 10, 11 or 12
  • at least 15 years of age
  • Australian citizens or permanent residents

Head Start staff are school employees. Your consent is required for Head Start staff to meet with your child and provide this service.

If your young person is interested in exploring SBAT options, you will receive a consent and referral form via email.

Completing the form will allow your young person to access Head Start support and consider their SBAT opportunities.
