CHEMISTRY

IT'S TITRATION TIME!
Our Year 11 Chemistry students are deep into the world of titration, carefully adding solutions one drop at a time and watching closely for that all-important colour change. By measuring exactly how much solution is needed to reach the endpoint, students can calculate the concentration of an unknown substance with impressive accuracy.
Titration is one of the fundamental practical skills in Chemistry, requiring patience, precision and excellent laboratory technique. A single extra drop can affect the results, so concentration and attention to detail are essential!
It's fantastic to see our students developing their scientific inquiry skills and putting their theoretical learning into practice. In Chemistry, this is one of the most exciting experiments of the year, and our students are embracing the challenge with enthusiasm.
In Chem, we LOVE this time of year!
