BATTLE BOTS ASSEMBLE… LET’S RUMMMMMBLE! 

Year 7 STEAM students put their creativity, coding and design skills to the test as they built and programmed their own Sphero-powered Battle Bots!

From designing armour to programming spins and rolls, teams battled it out in a Last Robot Standing tournament, starting with 1-v-1 elimination rounds before an all-in arena showdown!

Students used the design thinking process to test their creations, evaluate their designs and discover what worked (and what didn’t!).

There were some awesome designs, plenty of friendly competition and lots of fun!

(A quick note about the science benches!  We promise students don't normally sit on them! This was a special Battle Bot Arena exception, and the benches were thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Science and hygiene — still winning!)
