The Hill Arts and Tech Show

The wait is over! The Hill Art & Tech Show is officially here, and we can’t wait to celebrate the incredible talent, creativity and imagination of our students at Opening Night tonight!

We are also thrilled to welcome College Alumni Sarah Barnett as a special guest. Since graduating from Wheelers Hill Secondary College, Sarah has enjoyed an extensive and exciting career including publishing her very own children’s book. We are so proud to welcome Sarah back to The Hill and celebrate the journey of one of our talented alumni.

The Art & Tech Show is an exciting way to showcase the incredible artwork, creativity and skills of our students across the College. From visual arts to technology, the exhibition celebrates the many ways our students create, innovate and express themselves.

While tonight is our official Opening Night, the exhibition will be open throughout the week for students, staff and families, with viewing available each afternoon from Tuesday to Thursday 3:00pm – 4:00pm. Please scan the QR Code on the flyer above to book.

We can’t wait to see our school community come together to celebrate our students and their amazing work.

State Athletics

The big day is almost here! This Friday 16 October, we’ll be cheering on our two talented WHSC students as they take on the State Athletics Championships!

After an incredible effort to make it this far, they’re ready to take on some of the best young athletes in the state.

We can’t wait to see how they go and wish them the very best of luck.

Road Smart Interactive is coming to WHSC!

Our students will take part in this free, evidence-based and highly interactive road safety program, designed specifically for Victorian secondary schools.

Using immersive technology and real-world experiences, Road Smart Interactive challenges students to think about the choices they make on and around the road, and how they can play an active role in helping eliminate road trauma.

It’s an engaging opportunity for our students to learn, reflect and understand the impact that everyday decisions can have on themselves and others.

WALKTOBER CHALLENGE!!

At WHSC, our staff take a little competition very seriously… so naturally, we couldn’t resist signing up for the Walktober Challenge!  Throughout October, our staff will be stepping it up and competing to see who can clock up the most daily steps. While there may be a little friendly rivalry (and plenty of checking the leaderboard!), the real focus of the challenge is staff wellbeing.

Walktober is encouraging our staff to take some time for themselves, get moving, connect with colleagues and build healthy habits that support both physical and mental wellbeing. Whether it’s a quick walk at lunchtime, taking the stairs, or getting some extra steps in after work, every step counts! We’re looking forward to seeing who takes out the WHSC Walktober crown – may the best (and fastest) walker win!

Let the steps, friendly competition and bragging rights begin!
