Celebrating Student Achievement 

There’s always something to celebrate at WHSC! From academic achievements and sporting success to creative talents, leadership and personal accomplishments, we’re proud to recognise the wonderful achievements of our students. Take a moment to celebrate the dedication, effort and success of our students and see what they’ve been accomplishing across the College.

This week, we would like to congratulate Nicol Canlas on her outstanding achievements in fencing!

In late September, Nicol travelled to the Philippines to compete in a National Fencing Competition in Manila, where she represented herself with great skill and determination. Nicol achieved an incredible Gold Medal in the Cadet Women’s Sabre event (U17) and a Bronze Medal in the Junior Women’s Sabre event (U20).

Nicol continued her success on Friday 2 October, competing in the Australian Youth Circuit #1 Nationals, where she took home another Gold Medal in the Youth Girls Sabre event (U15).

These are fantastic achievements and a wonderful reflection of Nicol’s hard work, dedication and commitment to her sport. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see what she achieves next!
