OASIS

Students will Identify the systems that make up the environment: air - atmosphere, land lithosphere, water - hydrosphere, living things - biosphere. 


Art - Carmel Fitzgerald

In Term Three, Grade Two children will make artworks using different construction materials.  They will use various techniques to express their observations and imagination. Students will describe the artworks they make, expressing the story of their artwork.  


Music – Stacie Mason

Exploring new songs, students will learn to identify, sing, play and notate new notes – ‘do’ and ‘re’. They will explore how these are used in different songs, through practising and performing as a cohort. 

 

Students will continue to read and write music that is divided into even sections that we call ‘paddocks’ (bars). Songs will include Apple Tree, Icka Backa and Hot Cross Buns.  


Science – Lisa Ryan

Students will investigate the properties of water, explore how it can change materials, and learn why it is an important natural resource. They will discover ways to conserve water and take part in an incursion presented by Coliban Water.  


Indonesian – Bu Jacqui 

This term students will initially focus on revising the vocabulary they covered in the past, including numbers, colours and animals before extending their knowledge with adjectives to describe different animals, people and monsters. 


Physical Education – Danielle Coates and Class Teachers

Students will participate in a perceptual motor program focusing on balance and movement through twisting, turning, and bending. They will explore the fundamental movement skills of forehand strike and two-handed strike. 

 

The term will conclude with a student-led activity, where students will work in small groups to create their own games.
