Mathematics 

Multiplication & Division 

We will learn different strategies to help us solve problems using multiplication and division. These strategies include making groups and arrays, repeated addition/subtraction and skip counting. We will also be learning to count small collections of Australian notes and coins.  

Shape 

We will learn about the properties of various 2-D shapes. This will include the ability to recognise, compare and classify shapes, referencing the number of sides and using spatial terms such as ‘opposite’, ‘parallel’, ‘curved’ and ‘straight’ 

Operations

We will learn how mathematic situations require different methods to solve them. This will include solving practical additive and multiplicative problems, including money transactions, as well as representing the situation and choosing effective calculation strategies
