The Assumption of Mary - Feast Day, August 15th

The Feast of the Assumption celebrates our belief that Mary was taken, body and soul, into heaven at the end of her earthly life. It is an important feast in the Catholic Church because it reminds us of Mary’s faithfulness to God and the hope we share in eternal life. Families are encouraged to take time to pray together and reflect on Mary’s example of trust, courage and love.

Altar Server Ministry

If your child is baptised and has received their First Holy Communion, we encourage you to invite your child to serve, helping them grow in faith while contributing meaningfully to parish life.

Our first training session will be held on Friday 21st August from 2.30–3.00 pm in 

St Luke’s Church, led by Chris Lim, Joanne Nolan and Nina Grieve.  

Please return the slip in the attached letter giving your permission for your child to attend.
