Clare's message........

Good afternoon Families,
What a week it has been! A very exciting three days enjoyed by all in the Senior School at Campaspe Downs near Kyneton. It was loaded with a range of outdoor activities and the weather didn't spoil a single moment. The children were absolutely brilliant and as always, did St Luke's proud by being safe, responsible and respectful. The camp staff commented on what a pleasure it was working with our group. Camps serve such an incredible opportunity for children to grow personally as the challenges, both big or small, prove to each individual person that they have courage, resilience, determination and pure grit. These experiences can create lifelong memories and allow friendships to flourish. My very personal thanks to Ashlea Mawer, Gabrielle Carter, Deb Bilston and Steph Pierce for attending the three days, for giving up their own families and for ensuring the children were safe and happy throughout. And, to Julie Inglese and the staff who always give their full support to such programs.
Our 2026 Student Led Conferences are coming up next week. This is a very important meeting when your child/ren can share some work, shine in their own unique way and inform you of what they are working on next. Parents will also have the chance to discuss successes or concerns they or the teacher may have. If you attended a PSG meeting in the past couple of weeks, you DO NOT need to book a time.
You'll need to use the nForma app to book a time. We'll look forward to seeing you there.
We have had two very successful Working Bees at school this year and we have our third and final one coming up on Sunday 23rd August from 10 am to 1 pm. If your family has not made it to earlier ones, make sure you don't miss out. Everyone has loved them! There will be painting to be done- by the kids and lots of other small maintenance type jobs...
- mulch to spread,
- sweeping,
- cleaning of drains,
- de-cobwebbing
- pruning
Please sign up now by emailing Debbie at schooloffice@slblackburnsth.catholic.edu.au Indicate how many people will be attending and if there are dietary requirements. We'd love to see some of our Senior families who may not have the chance next year to join this final working bee for the year. See you there!
MACSSIS- We have our annual survey coming out in the last two weeks of term. Please look out for the link that will come to your inbox- if you are the first name listed on our parent contact list. We want as many people completing the survey so we can get your feedback. This is a great opportunity for you to have your say. Our Year 4,5 and 6 children, the staff, the SAC and P&F members will also be completing the survey BUT WE WANT YOU, TOO!
