Upper Primary (Years 5-6)
Last week, Upper Primary students had fun celebrating Book Week! Students engaged in a variety of activities including creating a door display, attending a puppet show, making a number poster, and drawing pictures.
On Friday, we ended the week dressing up as our favourite book characters! It was a busy and fun week!
Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)
Our Year 7/8 students have had two action-packed weeks filled with creativity, learning and plenty of hands-on fun! During Week 7, we celebrated Book Week, with students and staff getting into the spirit by dressing up in some amazing and creative costumes inspired by their favourite books and characters. Students also got creative for our whole-school door decorating competition.
The 7/8E students certainly impressed, taking out the win with their amazing Spider-Man-themed creation! It was fantastic to see students working together, sharing ideas and bringing their favourite characters to life.
In Week 8, students became scientists during an exciting Science Incursion, where they explored all things liquids, solids and gases. Students participated in a range of amazing experiments, investigating how materials can change from liquids to solids and back again. They also explored acids and bases and experimented with changing between the two. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to get hands-on with science, make predictions, ask questions and discover how and why materials change. What an exciting two weeks of learning!
