Year 7 News

Interim Reports
In the next couple of weeks students will receive their Term 3 interim reports. The purpose of these reports is to provide information about the learning skills that your child demonstrates in the classroom. This includes skills such as personal organisation, work completion and remaining on task. Students and parents are encouraged to reflect on these interim reports and discuss areas for growth and improvement moving into term 4.
With parent teacher interviews happening on the 16th of September, this will also be a great opportunity to meet with teachers to discuss the report and how your child is progressing in the classroom.
Missed Immunisations
If your child missed the school vaccination session on Tuesday 4 August and you would still like them to receive their immunisations, they can attend one of the regular immunisation sessions held at the Kalkee Road Children's Hub on most Tuesday mornings. More information is available on the website below

Broken Squishy Toys
We have noticed an increase in the number of squishy toys being used in classrooms and around the school. While these can be a helpful regulation tool for some students, they are also being used as balls or thrown between students. As a result, there has been an increase in squishy toys popping and leaving a glue-like residue in classrooms and around the school.
Please remind students to use these toys appropriately. If a squishy toy is seen being misused at school, the Year 7 team will confiscate it until the end of the day. Students will then be able to collect the toy and take it home.
Class Spotlight – Year 7 Home Economics
This week in Home Eco, students have been learning how to cook beef tacos. It was a fan favourite with many getting to enjoy it for their lunch!
