Principal's Report
Ms Meg Woolford - Principal
Our school is conducting the annual Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation. A random sample of parents/caregivers/guardians will receive an email to participate in the survey.
Our school will use survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is now open and will close Friday 18 September 2026.
With the cold and occasionally wet weather continuing, a reminder to all students and families that only Horsham College uniform should be worn at school. We will be continuing to follow up with students and their families to ensure all students are wearing the Horsham College Council approved uniform.
We are focused on ensuring students are wearing:
Black shoes
College Council approved jackets and/or jumpers
College approved long sleeve tops
College approved hats/beanies
We understand there may be short periods of time when a student is out of uniform; please provide a signed note in your student’s diary for these short periods. Anyone needing assistance is encouraged to contact their relevant year level team members or a member of the Wellbeing Team for support.
I encourage families to save the date to attend the College’s Parent Teacher Interviews, which are scheduled for Wednesday the 16th of September (Week 10). Parent Teacher Interviews are a valuable opportunity for families, students and teachers to work together to support student learning and wellbeing. Face to face conversations provide a chance to celebrate achievements, discuss progress and identify areas where students may benefit from additional support, focus or encouragement.
I encourage all parents and carers along with their student(s) to attend the interviews and take this opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school.
