Orchestra gave a strong performance in assembly

On Monday, the IPS Orchestra performed 2 pieces in assembly. The exciting adventures of “Conquistador” were popular with the audience and the cinematic “How to train a dragon” was suitably epic. Niamh and Valeria introduced the pieces with confidence. We now feel more ready for our next performance which will be at the Night of Music.

The Choir will also be performing in assembly: on Monday 7th September.

Night of Music

Corelli Strings, Choir and Orchestra are working hard towards their performance at the very special Night of Music concert on Saturday 5th September at the Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School Performing Arts Centre starting at 7pm. Exciting!

There will be sound checks in the venue beforehand:

• CHOIR arrive at 4.40pm for 5pm sound check  
• ORCHESTRA arrive at 5.25pm for 5.40pm sound check 
• CORELLI STRINGS arrive 5.55pm for 6.10pm sound check

Performers wear white on the top and black on the bottom, including black shoes. We do have a small library of white and black clothes if anyone wants to borrow something.

Audience tickets are on sale via the website of the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are limited to 2 tickets per family. We are taking 118 performers and there are not enough audience seats for families to purchase more than 2 tickets.
